( I live in the Uk ) Im going into year 9 in a few weeks and we have to pick our options but i don't know what to choose my friends are doing Dance & Drama but i can't dance or act and i get nervous being on stage and preforming , but i want to be a photographer when im older but i don't think we will have a option for that. does any one know any options i could choose ?? , I can't go on stage or preform , i can't draw or anything i don't have a talent or anything and im crap at Sport s ! Is the UK Queen distressed to learn that so many school teachers lack basic reading skills?
I have been reading that both in Europe and the USA, distressing reports on the testing results of reading comprehension skills among teachers and other educational professionals are pointing to one reason the students they "teach" are doing so poorly themselves. Is the UK Queen a proponent of more testing prior to teacher certification being awarded?

In some British schools the student body (or the headteacher) appoints or elects a pupil or pupils as Head Boys and/or Head Girl. Head Boys/Girls are usually responsible for representing the school at events, and therefore must be good public speakers. They may also be expected to lead fellow Prefects in their duties. Deputy Head Boys/Girls may also be appointed. The traditional formal title for the Head Boy in most public schools in the UK is Head of School. Heads of School have considerable power and are often largely responsible for maintaining school discipline outside of classes, acting as eyes and for staff in their absence when i was at school, which was not so long ago, i was a prefect :-D i don't know why i'm answering this question at this time though, it's nearly 4am and i'm still awake :-/

Can anyone recommend a good driving school around the newbury berkshire area in the UK?
I am soon to start driving and i don't have a clue which company to have lessons with. Does anyone have any experience with any driving schools/ instructors etc In the newbury berkshire area? Preferably cheap, friendly with good pass rates? any advice would be appreciated . Thanks.

BSM were always considered to be the best. They taught their own drivers and many driving school owners were trained by them. If you have a school near you, you could ask them for details. http://www.bsm.co.uk/instructor-centre/bsm-instructor-training/train-and-qualify-to-be-a-driving-instructor-with-bsm.htm Most driving instructors are self employed with their own cars. There is no league table for you to check if they get a good pass rate or how long it takes for a pupil to get through the test. Asking round, is the best way to find out. See who has recently passed and who taught them. As for costs, that could be a false guide. Some one who charges £15 you may need 30 lessons to get through the test £450. Some one who charges £20 might get you through in 10 lessons costing £200 which is less than half. These days there will not be a lot of difference between the prices instructors charge so may be it is as well to see the sort of cars they use for teaching. If you are above or below average height that could make a lot of difference to how you adjust the seat and mirrors. A question for teachers in the UK?
Are the students in the UK really as undisciplined and out of controll as they say? I would like to hear from teachers and their experiences in UK schools. Also what measures is allowed to dicipline students with behavior problems and do you find a difference in behavior in public and private schools?

I'm not a teacher but a parent...with many friends and relatives who have children in school here....the answer is that some schools are very bad...but they tend to be in poor areas....I am sending my child to private school because our free schools are overcrowded in the main...I dont want my 3 year old in a class of 33 children. The teachers are not allowed to handle or touch the kids in any way.
