Chips in School Uniforms Track Students - What are your thoughts?
They are doing this at a school in the UK Would you want your kid to be tracked with a chip in their clothing for safety reasons?

I believe that they are training a society of extremely paranoid individuals. It's a little sad. If the kid's going to get abducted, changing clothes and dropping the uniform into a trash bin is the first thing the perpetrator would do, Sure, the world is a dangerous one, but does that mean that children should be treated as felons on house arrest. How about we do one better. Three words. Anklet tracking devices. Attach cameras and you can watch you kid where ever he/she goes. No worry for you. I wonder when these become mandatory.

It's not just in the UK. Some proposed requiring kids to wear those ID badges with the chip in them here in the US too. That notion, thank God for that, was shouted down by outraged parents. No one will ever be putting a chip on my kid. Internally, or externally. Those people touting their injectable chips can go to hell and shut up. I agree. Society is too paranoid these days. Not only that, there's a lack of trust and respect for privacy with the bad technology to go along with it(such as tracking chips). Then again, some people are just nosy. Bad things, happen to good people. No matter how old you are. Children are human beings, they have rights and are not animals to be tagged and released into the wild. If the government decides to suddenly make everyone wear a chip for "the greater good", you bet there will be protests and uprisings against a fascist totalitarian idea. Why should someone who is a child be any different because they have no say for themselves? Technology just may be our downfall one day. There can be a perpetuated reason to tag anyone with a chip. Children who might get abducted, the elderly for their condition, people to quickly access medical information, soldiers, illegal immigrants, inmates, and employees. It's hell. I think those tracking chips are one of the top ten worst inventions ever created. I'd as soon give my kid a hammer to school for him smash the chip in front of everyone...
