If you are in the last year of school in the US then I take it you are 17/18 years old? In UK we finish high school at age 16 so at 17 or 18 you will either be in college or a sixth form school. In UK college is not the same as university. You must have a college education to get into university. most college courses are 1 or 2 years so you can start uni at 18. I'm not sure if I'm helping but as I don't understand the US Grade system I can't be of anymore help.

Ok here in the UK, School works like this: You start school in The september when your 4. Its called Reception Reception - Year 6 is called Primary School Then u 'graduate to high school . U start high school in the september when your 11 Thats called Year 7 U leave high school in the June when your 16, or 15 if your 16 before September the 1st. So it depends how old you are and when your bithday is If you were born before 1st September 1990 then u have finished school! most british kids go to college which is year 12 & 13, ages 16-18, tahts free, but you dont have to go if you dont want to. :)

put the first 2 answers together and it's everything you need to know. my daughter was going to do exactly the same as you but changed her mind when she found out kids in uk colleges were there by choice and not requirement. she's under the false assumption that they are far more mature, intelligent and educated than she is. it's just a different system and both the uk and us systems are very good.
